Thinking strategically is not a skill that is easy to master and definitely not one that is easy to teach. I am continually impressed with Dan’s ability to see opportunity for his company but more importantly, teach others how to find that opportunity for their businesses. You can’t go wrong with choosing to work with Dan.
I have worked with Dan Paulson on development and coaching initiatives and highly respect his work. He is the quintessential professional, down to earth, and personable. This suite of skills makes Dan invaluable and a delight to work with.
Dan has been an excellent resource for my Real Estate Business. He’s provided my company with all the professional knowledge and coaching I was anticipating and much more.
Whether you have an established business or just starting, Dan’s business development abilities will be an invaluable resource.
I’d highly recommend InVision to any business or company that is looking to expand their business and grow upon what they’ve already built.
Dan’s skill and talent as an expert in the areas of executive leadership and strategy are superlative. Not only does he have a command of the information and process, he has a clear passion for helping his clients improve in their roles.
Dan provided high quality advisory services to guide our leadership team and business strategy. He is skilled at keeping a team focused on key priorities and getting results.
Dan has served as a guest speaker in my Agribusiness Management courses and as a facilitator of a planning retreat for our Business, Industry, Life Science, and Agriculture (BILSA) college at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
He is an excellent communicator with a clear understanding of how a business operates. He has assisted our college with development of a strategic plan and vision for the future. He has helped my students understand the process of analyzing a business and the questions and aspects necessary to determine the potential for success and future growth.
I first met Dan when we hired him to assist us with our annual corporate strategic planning process. Dan brought a high level of “out of the box” thinking to our process. He helped us understand how social media would fit into our business model (we are an engineering/ architectural/planning firm in the Midwest), introduced us to the possibilities of work in China (stretching us well beyond our Midwest comfort zone!), and helped us think about how our re-branding efforts would be integrated with our strategic and tactical business decisions. Dan’s style is very personable and he was able to help the group flow in new directions.
I would be remiss if I didn’t take this chance to also recommend Dan for his new book – Apples to Apples. For a small book (179 pages start to finish) it is extremely comprehensive, covering topics that you would have to read five or six books to get at! It is an “easy” read, very well organized (with a unique system of icons and boxes to help the reader zero-in on topics and action items to take away. Considering myself somewhat of a “process wonk”, chapter 7 on “Process” is among my favorites. “Know This: Process Creates Consistency – Process is a template for producing consistent results. But business demands innovation, so processes become obsolete. Every process should be evaluated and challenged constantly.” The book is filled with these sorts of rules of thumb and the details necessary to implement them. As they say – “two thumbs up”!
Dan has the remarkable ability to quickly assess how well teams work together. Dan helped me understand the value of DiSC profiles and taught me how to temper my own behavior to most effectively deal with certain behavior types. I also learned a great deal about how changing my own behavior helps my direct reports change their as well.
I enjoy working with Dan and look forward to using his services again.
I hired Dan as a business consultant/coach in January 2008. We have seen double digit growth every year since that time! Dan is great at listening and understanding the issues. The solutions are revealed as he asks me questions. I usually know the answer, and he clearly knows which questions to ask. I plan to use Dan for quite some time; I hope others can gain the value that he adds to your executive position as well as to your business.
Dan presented a program for our Madison, Wisconsin Better Business Bureau accredited business members, and after working with Dan on the program and receiving such wonderful comments from the members who attended, I did not hesitate to ask Dan once again to come to Milwaukee to present a program on customer service to our business members in SE Wisconsin. Dan’s knowledge and expertise are superb. His presentations are educational, well received and entertaining. He gives his audience something to take back to their businesses that will assist them in their future business relationships.
